Meet Katelyn Marie!
I have one sister, named Katelyn. Katie for short! She is almost 18, and a senior at Pardeeville High School. She is going to attend Viterbo in the fall to pursue a career in the medical field.
Katie's birthday is on March 19th, and mine is March 26th. We are exactly one week apart, which I think is pretty cool and a sign of our connection. We do argue a lot, but we love each other and are always there for each other, fighting or not! This year for Katie's birthday, we are going to get sister tattoos. She is very excited and I am so blessed that she wants me to be a part of this journey with her!
Katie loves old people and helping them with their daily needs. Right now she works as a resident assistant and she loves it! As much as there are death and illness, she knows she was meant for this line of work. I can't wait to see how she furthers her career and love for the medical field.
Katie is a pretty simple person in the way in which she knows what she wants and what she doesn't like. She loves Culvers and Subway, but she despises any and all forms of seafood. She loves Crocs and wears them in all seasons, but she hates shoes that make her feet feel claustrophobic. Katie desperately needs a new belt for her jeans, but she refuses to get one until she can no longer use the one she has. (She is an insane saver).
Katie Marie is sweet, kind, generous, smart, funny, sassy, and so much more. I usually get more of the sass but I have seen her kindness in many ways. She loves to help older people or children. She likes babysitting and her new job is her whole world.
Now, Katie doesn't like to show her feelings often. I have to beg her to open up to me. She doesn't like me to know that she misses or loves me, but I know she does. We continue to grow closer and I will be forever thankful that God blessed me with her. Katie means the world to me and I will never stop seeing her as my baby sister. She can't possibly be graduating in a few months and doing such adult work. Katie is going to change the world someday and I can't wait to see everything she accomplishes.
I try to watch Katie and copy what she does. She is an incredible academic, and I want to be the same after seeing her be so successful. She also is amazing at getting everything she has on her list done in record time. She doesn't mess around. She sets her mind on something and tackles everything so headstrong.
Katelyn may be the biggest pain in my butt, but she is the most important person in my life. We argue a lot and make fun of each other constantly, but when it comes down to it, we are always there for each other and are each other's biggest defenders and supporters. I love the Kat to MadKat.
